Jay Rock is the secret weapon of Black Hippy, the West Coast rap crew ostensibly fronted by conscious rap superstar Kendrick Lamar. He struts onto tracks by Lamar and other Black Hippy members and briefly steals the song away from them—it's the MC equivalent of a scene-swiping cameo in a movie (think: the rap version of Alec Baldwin's performance in "Glengarry Glen Ross").
