Staff Picks:

Post Typography Art Print and Poster Sale

Dec. 12

We miss the hell out of Double Dagger, the whip-smart, sharp-eyed post-hardcore trio of Nolen Strals, Bruce Willen, and Denny Bowen, but we still enjoy seeing Strals and Willen produce killer work at their graphic design studio, Post Typography. There’s a good chance you’ve seen their designs somewhere: They’ve done everything from editorial graphics for Time magazine, The New York Times, and The Washington Post to logo designs for local businesses and posters for revival screenings—which includes one of our favorites, a poster for a screening of “Groundhog Day” that is one large Bill Murray face made up of lots of little Bill Murray faces. Each year, they sell some of their leftover prints for more-than-generous prices, presenting a great chance to buy some really top-notch work. If you’re like us, you’ll appreciate the treasure trove of immaculately designed posters Strals and Willen made for their band. Noon-4 p.m., Post Typography, 2219 St. Paul St., (410) 889-7469, posttypography.com, free. (Brandon Weigel)
