10. "Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories" (Adult Swim)

The whole world's gotten hip to the public-access aesthetic and deadpan irony that Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim established on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job" almost a decade ago. Proof that it has gone mainstream: BuzzFeed nostalgia lists and the invention of the Preakness' Kegasus. Their shtick co-opted for all the wrong reasons, the duo goes cinematic with their new series, ostensibly an existential-dread-packed horror anthology show that gathers all of its comedy by way of calculated creepiness. Here, professionals buy into a three-week scam that makes them strap on a diaper and act like babies in order to rebuild themselves and get an upper hand in the world of business; a cosmetic surgeon sells women on the idea that they'll look better without their toes; and a suburban bro buries his neighbor alive for not digging his deep-fried finger food. Then there's the one where Tim, Eric, and Zach Galifianakis service and secretly live inside of a public restroom that's best described as Jerry Lewis remaking "Bosom Buddies" as an R-rated farce. Check this out when the absurdity of "Too Many Cooks" is not enough. (Brandon Soderberg)
