Operation Shut It Down in Photos

A group of about 50 marched from Martin Luther King Blvd. and Pennsylvania Ave. to downtown and back again on Saturday evening as part of Operation Shut It Down, organized by Gary Johnson and Terry Simms. The goal Johnson said at the start was to "cut off the economic flow" in the downtown area "for a moment" on that Saturday evening and show "unity and solidarity" in calling attention to both the police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and for those lost to gun violence.
