"Water-Based" Press Conference In Photos

Local leaders including Chesapeake Climate Action Network director Mike Tidwell, Maryland Sierra Club director Josh Tulkin, President of the Maryland State Conference of the NAACP Gerald Stansbury, and Maryland Working Families executive director Charly Carter held a two-part press conference addressing the problem of global warming and urging the state's leaders to "transition off of fossil fuels." The first part of the event was held in the water to demonstrate rising sea levels due to global warming and the second part was held on a nearby hill to call attention to the need for more wind power and cleaner air.
