The Dickies, Chelsea Graveyard, Pure Junk

Sunday, August 16

9 p.m., Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St., (410) 662-0069, theottobar.com, $15.

Since becoming first wave punk pioneers in 1977, The Dickies have continued to produce and perform the most caffeinated brand of early pop punk (have you ever listened to ‘Banana Splits’ without violently bouncing?). Come to their show early and head upstairs for the exclusive Baltimore premiere of the documentary “The Damned: Don’t You Wish That We Were Dead” about the first UK punks to visit the United States—a perfect compliment to The Dickies, who were the first Los Angeles band to bring US punk to Europe.
