Abdu Ali on . . .

Thursday, Sept 10

7 p.m., bb, 427A N. Eutaw St., (216) 650-3388, bb427.tk, free.

As a rapper, singer, DJ, producer, organizer, performance artist, and contributor to this paper, Abdu Ali is one of the city’s most versatile and interesting artists, and with his commentary on race and queer identity, he’s positioned himself as a powerful voice within and beyond Baltimore. We would listen to him lecture on the importance of open-toed shoes, but we imagine he’s going to discuss something with a little more substance.
