Wednesday: "The Big Lebowski"

March 16

Okay sir, you're a Big Lebowski fan, I'm a Big Lebowski fan, that's terrific. But I'm very busy, as I can imagine you are, so why is it a good idea to see this movie for, like, the 100th time? For one, there's a good chance you probably got into the Coen brothers' comedic whodunnit about bowling, micturated-upon rugs, and white Russians well after its 1998 release date. This screening at The Senator, naturally, presents the opportunity to see the movie in its full, big-screen glory. And if you've got the time, the whole York Road corridor provides a pretty solid Lebowski-esque experience: bowl a few frames up at Stoneleigh Lanes, grab a Caucasian at any number of bars (though our first suggestion would be Swallow at the Hollow), look for a rug that really ties the room together at The House Downtown and Tuesday Morning. Woo! You got a date Wednesday, baby! 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., The Senator Theatre, 5904 York Road, (410) 323-4424,,  $11.50, children and seniors $9. (Brandon Weigel)
