Wednesday: Reverend Horton Heat

Dec. 7

People say “psychobilly” but that doesn’t cover it. In the pantheon with The Cramps, Butthole Surfers, Webb Wilder, the other plug uglies who grabbed southern rock and blues by the balls and kissed full on the mouth with no irony whatsoever, the Reverend Horton Heat stands proud. He’s been touring for about three decades, whether there’s a new record to flog or not. And in the process he’s become a consummate showman and virtuoso musician. You just won’t see a tighter band playing to a mosh pit, and that’s something. 7:30 p.m., Rams Head Live, 20 Market Place, (410) 244-1131,, $23-$25. (Edward Ericson Jr.)
