Wednesday: Child Welfare: Another Link in the Womb to Prison Pipeline

Apr. 13

6-8:30 p.m., American Brewery, 1701 N. Gay St., (800) 227-4622,, free.

Learn how the prison pipeline rips families apart at this talk delivered by Dianne D. Lyday, author of the book, “For the Good of the Children: Racism, Red Tape and the Myth of Family Reunification.” Raymond Winbush (pictured), the Director of the Institute for Urban Research at Morgan State University, will also be on hand to share his knowledge. The discussion is just for adults but families are welcome—organizers will have crayons and coloring activities for kids.
