Wednesday: Blazing Saddles

July 27

8 p.m., The Senator, 5904 York Road, (410) 323-4424,, $9-$10.

Hide out from the heat at the screening of this 1974 Mel Brooks classic co-written by Richard Pryor. The satire takes on typically stiff, racist, super macho Westerns, making a black man (played by Cleavon Little) the sheriff of an all-white town with a drunk white sidekick (Gene Wilder).
