5-9 p.m., exhibition runs through Dec. 19, George Peabody Library, 17 E. Mt. Vernon Place,, free.

A yearlong studio residency at the Peabody Library is a pretty sweet deal: it’s arguably the most beautiful and inspiring space in Baltimore, from the soaring cast-iron balconies to the astounding early edition book and print collections. Baltimore artist Lu Zhang created one book for each of the six levels of the library, documenting her year in the exquisite interior with its 300,000-plus volumes.
