Thursday: ERO7 7th Annual Erotic Art Show

Nov. 5

Last year's Erotic Art Show at Gallery 788 was a night to remember: There was that enormous wooden phallus that guests could ride like a horse, a guy getting dollar bills stapled to his bare skin, a great set from TT The Artist, and plenty of body paint, hot wax, poles, and fancy lingerie. This year, opening night features more live music (including a "stripped down Prince cover band," which in the context of an erotic art show can mean one of two things—either way, it's Prince, so it's hot), burlesque, sideshow, and pole-dance performances, plus a rope-tying demo, a mini playroom, a spanking bar, raffle prizes, an art exhibition, and more—we hear the giant cock is making a reappearance, too. This year's show benefits Planned Parenthood, so you can celebrate sex positivity while supporting sexual health. Opening reception 7-11 p.m., artwork on view through Nov. 29, Gallery 788, 3602 Hickory Ave., (202) 210-8361,, $5 suggested donation. (Maura Callahan)
