“Xtreme Now,” the new album by psych-dance sister duo and self-proclaimed innovators of the “Extreme Sports Genre,” Prince Rama, comes out of Taraka Larson’s near-death experience while exploring an ancient viking ruin in Estonia (when she and sister Nimai were living on a black metal utopian commune) that left her with the sensation of existing in both the middle ages and the year 2067, where “art museums are sponsored by energy drink beverages and beauty is determined by speed.” True story.
