Sunday: LuvaTour Homecoming

April 17

So many Baltimore artists have been going on tour all over lately: Abdu Ali, Elon, and Dylijens played a bunch of shows in the northeast and the south (including SXSW) for a month, TRNSGNDR/VHS and La Llorona recently got back from a midwest tour. That these tours are self-organized and often self-funded (or modestly crowdfunded) by the artists is inspiring. Tonight, finishing up their two-week PA/NY/D.C. tour are the sweet and swoozy Al Rogers Jr, whose album "Luvadocious" with Drew Scott is partly a lush, futurist romance voyage, and the silky/soulful Joy Postell, whose buoyant recent track 'No Sleep' with Anna Notte touches on anxiety and pushing through it, among other things: "Can't remember all the frequencies in my bed/ Can't afford all the reasons I'm in debt/ Can't afford, can't absorb all the demons in my bed." Also performing tonight are Josh Stokes, Mani Marino, and DJ Trillnatured. 9 p.m., The Crown, 1910 N. Charles St., (410) 625-4747, thecrownbaltimore.tumblr.com, $8. (Rebekah Kirkman)
