Sunday: Bmore Than Dance All Age Social Mixer

Nov. 27

Earlier this month, Bmore Than Dance, a community-oriented group of Bmore club dancers, cathartically closed out the Here 4 Reentry event held at the War Memorial. The evening, which featured a number of rappers (including Tate Kobang) and advocates for assisting those out of jail all built up to the final 15 minutes or so in which a bunch of dancers rocked off to fast-placed club music—it was the kind of thing that feels like it might only happen here, where the arts, partying, and activism intermingle so freely. So come catch the talented Bmore Than Dance dancers at the Motor House for this month's installment of their mixer, featuring club music and related genres as well as dance battles, shake-off sessions, and a number of dance-off tied to division titles, with music by DJ Kenny99 and  DJ Kae Glizzy & the BTD DJs. 5 p.m., The Motor House, 120 W. North Ave., (410) 637-8300,, free. (Brandon Soderberg)
