Saturday: Ten Years of Celebrated Summer Fanzine Release

June 18

In its decade-long existence, Celebrated Summer Records has grown from a Towson outpost to a store in the back of Atomic Books to a stand-alone that's the most vital punk/hardcore shop in the city. Fittingly, to celebrate the store's 10th year, owner Tony Pence is releasing a 40-page zine called "I Have Wasted My Life" that chronicles the history of Celebrated Summer and presents stories from Pence's years as a teenage metal head to his time working for Reptilian Records. There will be a presentation, Q&A, and drinks. Be sure to swing by the store early to pick up a few records. 7-9 p.m., Atomic Books, 3620 Falls Road, (443) 866-9988, celebratedsummerrecords.blogspot.com, free. (Brandon Weigel)
