Saturday: Looney Tunes Show

Jan. 2

11:30 a.m. Saturday, 7 p.m. Monday, The Charles, 1711 N. Charles St., (410) 727-3456,, $9.50.

There are many reasons to watch old cartoons, but for us, the biggest reason is that these days, you can’t see cartoon characters go through the same extreme physical torment that Daffy Duck, Wile. E. Coyote, and Elmer Fudd endured for decades (except maybe on Adult Swim, but it’s not the same). Satiate your sadism as the Charles screens a selection of golden-age “Looney Tunes,” including ‘Little Red Riding Rabbit,’ ‘The Big Snooze,’ and ‘Birds Anonymous,’ to say “that’s all folks” to 2015.
