Saturday: Gucci Mane

Sept. 23

La Flare, Big Guwop, Mr. Zone 6, Trap God—or whatever you prefer to call him—the Atlanta rapper has had a hell of a comeback season. Gucci was released from prison May 26, 2016 and hit the ground running (Gucci Mane Bolt) and blessed the streets with the celebratory post-incarceration song 'First Day Out The Feds', donning a new physique complete with a bright white smile and ultra-positive perspective on life. He doubled back and released his album, “Everybody Looking"; signed a deal to produce his autobiography (Gucci Hemingway); dropped another mixtape, “Woptober”; proposed to his girlfriend Keyshia Ka'ior at an Atlanta Hawks game (Gucci-nique Wilkins); gave the streets a Christmas gift and dropped "The Return of East Atlanta Santa," and on the anniversary of his prison release dropped the highly anticipated collaborative album “Drop Top Wop” with producer MetroBoomin, who rose to prominence while Gucci was locked up in the bing. On top of that, Gucci Corleone, the godfather of trap music, has been getting the legend treatment, dropping features all over the place and is set to get married on live television on VH1 soon. 7 p.m., Pier Six Concert Pavilion, 731 Eastern Ave., (410) 783-4189,, $50-$275.
