Monday: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade

Jan. 18

Noon, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Eutaw and Baltimore streets, (410) 752-8632, promotionandarts.org, free.

2015 was the biggest year for civil rights activism since, arguably, Martin Luther King Jr. So this MLK Day, Baltimore marches with bands, cheer squads, dance troupes, and floats, not only to let loose on a day off but to carry that message into 2016, when, we hope, activism brings real progress.
