Friday: Vague Output and Llamadon

Jan. 15

So here's a thing to remember or realize or whatever about organizing and hosting events: Be consistent with that shit. It is one thing to set up a show and provide a space for fun and, possibly, an Earth-shattering artistic experience (and I appreciate everybody who does that); it's another to dedicate oneself to it weekly or monthly. Two of the most consistent and hardworking projects of this sort in the city are the Llamadon Collective's nonstop shows (which loosely swirl around avant-garde hip-hop, dance, and R&B) and Vague Output's dance parties (which focus on electro, techno, and other underground sounds). Now, they're collaborating on a two-room event at the Crown. In the Red Room is Vague Output featuring Nick Klein, Solaris, Liquid Asset, Extended Release, and C10; and in the Blue Room, Llamadon, featuring Greydolf, JPEG Mafia, Dylijens, Bounge, and Jacob Marley, among others. 9 p.m., The Crown, 1910 N. Charles St., (410) 625-4747,, $10. (Brandon Soderberg)
