Friday: The Young Hustle Tour

Jan. 22

The frequency with which local Baltimore hip-hop and R&B station 92Q plays Tate Kobang's ‘Bank Rolls’ is heartening. It has gone from being the catchy local song the station plugged into mixes and rotation occasionally to something we're totally being inundated with. Like a few times an hour. Last week, I drove to Washington, D.C. and back and during those five hours in the car I think I heard it a dozen times. It doesn't get old: its flurry of Baltimore locales, the bouncing spare beat, the way Tate says, "ask about me." So, see Tate bask in his success as part of the Young Hustle tour along with T-Wayne, Rich The Kid, TK N Cash, Rejjie Snow, and Jacques Seven. 8 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage, 124 Market Place, (410) 244-0057, baltimoresoundstage.com, $15-$20.
