Friday-Sunday: Kuntfest 4 Baltimore Pride

July 22-23

Here we have two nights of queer music events in and around the Crown: First, there's Friday night's Supa Bent, "a queer trans intersex music event" focused on black and brown artists. Hosted by Abdu Ali and TT The Artist, the show features performances from Dai Burger, TYGAPAW, Vjuan Allure, Rovo, Lor Chrissy, and Ali himself spread across both rooms of the Crown. The next night is QUEER-OLOGY, also in two rooms, with DJ sets from Trillnatured, Destrukshawn, Kate Boss, Nihar Bhatt, and Normaling and performances from DDM and TT The Artist. But there's way more: a screening of the movie "Tangerine"; a pride talent showcase hosted by  Lizzy Falltrades and Jules V. Moorhead and featuring JT, Jesus Vice, Speadfast, Pop King of Trash, Kotic Couture, Hunter Hooligan, The Creatrix, and more; and a Burlesque showcase featuring Betty O'Hellno (pictured), Whiskey Joy, Bunny Vicious (recently profiled in City Paper), Dainty Dandridge, Andre Shakti, Glam Gamz, and Cherie Nuit. And outside there's a drag pre-show at the nearby YNOT Lot. 9 p.m. on July 22, 7 p.m. on July 23, The Crown, 1910 N. Charles St., (410) 625-4848,, $8 each night, $15 for both nights.
