6 murders this week, 144 murders this year

Baltimore continued on a pace for 300 murders this year with another infant murder and five adults shot down. As of press time the department had not yet released the names of any of the adult victims. In addition to the infant murder, a woman reportedly killed herself by jumping from a parking garage on Market Place, and police found her 5-month-old baby, dead, in her car shortly after that. That death is not yet classified as a homicide. A police officer also shot an armed robbery suspect in southwest Baltimore. The department did not say whether they recovered a weapon from that suspect.
