A murder-suicide on Boston Street and a nearly-2-year-old girl who died from “trauma to her body” were among the homicides this week as protesters took to the streets to demand justice for Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old who died from spinal injuries while in police custody.

Monday, April 20

12:29 p.m. Nicole Torain, a 34-year-old African-American woman who had been reported missing from Dundalk, was found at the incinerator on 1801 Annapolis Road, in the Carroll Industrial area. She was dead. Police said there were no signs of trauma to her body, but the medical examiner determined that she had been killed. City police are working with county police to determine how, where, and when it happened.

Tuesday, April 21

8:37 p.m. Carvell Jones, a 44-year-old African-American man, was on the 1500 block of Hilton Street when someone shot him in the head. Police and medics came and Jones was taken to a hospital, where he died. Jones had resided on the 3200 block of Brighton Street, according to police.

Thursday, April 23

12:21 p.m. Police called for a shooting on the 3600 block of Boston Street found two people dead inside a car in the parking lot of the Canton Crossing parking lot. Police believe Mark McKenna, a 29-year-old white man, shot Reanna Lynn Greene, a 26-year-old white woman, and then shot himself. McKenna resided on the 11600 block of Hunter Run Drive, and Greene lived on the 700 block of South Robinson Street, according to police.

Saturday, April 25

12:02 p.m. Tyleah Fenwick, an African-American baby girl two weeks shy of her third birthday, was in a home on the 400 block of Furrow Street when she suffered what police are calling “trauma to her body.” Police were called to the house when she stopped breathing, but by the time they got there Fenwick had been taken to a hospital, where she died. The case is a homicide.

Sunday, April 26

5:24 a.m. An 18-year-old man police have not yet identified by name was at a residence on the 4500 block of Westchester Road when someone shot him in the head. He died there. Police are looking for witnesses.
