Police have identified several recent homicide victims and have announced an arrest in a recent murder case. Arkeem Harris, a 30-year-old African-American man of the 6200 block of Northwood Drive, was shot to death on the 1000 block of N. Caroline Street on Nov. 13. Police originally reported that shooting on the 1200 block. Larry Gaither, a 27-year-old African-American man, was stabbed to death on the first block of North Abington Avenue the next day. Gaither had resided on the 900 block of W. Fayette Street. Deandre Walker, a 22-year-old African-American man, was shot to death on or near the 2500 block of Annapolis Road on Nov. 14. Police now put his killing on the 2400 block of W. Port Street, but there is no such address in Baltimore; 2400 Westport Street is about a quarter-mile from the original address. The man shot to death on the 5300 block of Sinclair Lane on Monday morning, Nov. 16 was Joseph Jones, age 37 (not 28 as originally reported). He resided on the 1000 block of N. Fulton Avenue, police say.

On Nov. 19, Steven Johnson, age 29, of the 3000 block of Poplar Terrace, was arrested in connection with the murder of Kevin Gray, a 23-year-old African-American man who was shot on the 100 block of Calverton Road on Aug. 26. Three people were shot in that incident, including a 17-year-old boy and a 93-year-old woman, and police had already arrested Spence Jeffers, age 24, and charged him with first-degree murder. The investigation continues.
