Murder Ink: 8 murders this week, 207 murders this year

Eight more murders this week, including a triple in which three teens were shot down.

The pace continues as police work with federal agents in a "war room" to stem the violence. Supposedly the police have identified 238 people who do many of the shootings in the city, and are working to make criminal cases against them. A city firefighter was wounded in one of this week's eight nonfatal shootings. Robberies are also up 20 percent, The Sun reported. The dead body of a man was found in the harbor and sent for autopsy.
