Another violent weekend capped another week in which the murder pace exceeded one per day. This occurred because a death from last month was ruled a homicide. There were also 16 nonfatal shootings reported, plus at least one other stabbing. Police made arrests for attempted murder and gun crimes and they found a gun inside a holding cell in the Eastern District police station.
Tuesday, June 23
The Office of the Medical Examiner determined last week that the infant found dead inside a car left in a downtown parking garage was asphyxiated. Sina Masoodi, a 6-month-old Asian-American boy, was killed by Sahar Pourrajabi, a woman who killed herself by jumping off the building, police say. They closed the case "by exception since the suspect . . . is deceased."
Monday, July 20
11:22 p.m. Raja'ee Naneem Sincere, a 40-year-old African-American man, was shot in the head while on the 600 block of N. Payson Street, in the Midtown-Edmondson neighborhood. He was taken to a hospital where he clung to life for a time, but police on July 22 reported that he had died. Sincere resided on the block where he was killed, according to police.
Tuesday, July 21
8:32 a.m. A man who police have not yet identified publicly was found shot in the head on the 4300 block of Eldone Road in the Yale Heights neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The call to police was not for gunfire, but for "a person not breathing," police said.
Wednesday, July 22
11:09 p.m. Jefferson Bolden, a 34-year-old African-American man, was shot multiple times on the 1200 block of Clendenin Street, in the Penn North neighborhood. He died soon after at a hospital. Police say Bolden's last known address was on the 4400 block of Park Heights Avenue.
Thursday, July 23
9:22 p.m. Police called to the 7000 block of Reisterstown Road found Clerow Myers, a 23-year-old African-American man, who had been cut. Medics got him to a hospital, but he died. Police determined that Meyers was cut on the 4000 block of Glengyle Avenue, around the corner from where they found him. They are looking for witnesses.
10:18 p.m. Daquan Mason, a 20-year-old African-American man, was shot in the head on the 2700 block of Kennedy Avenue, in the Coldstream Homestead Montebello neighborhood. Police officers patrolling nearby heard the shots and found Mason, who lived two blocks from where he was shot. Mason died at a hospital.
Friday, July 24
11:33 p.m. Damon L. Ramsey, a 39-year-old African-American man, was shot multiple times while on the 2300 block of Harford Road, in the East Baltimore/Midway neighborhood. He made it to a hospital but died there. Police say Ramsey lived in Aberdeen.
Saturday, July 25
2:04 a.m. Charles Diggs, a 37-year-old African-American man, was shot in the head while on the 1800 block of West Saratoga Street, in the Franklin Square neighborhood. He died soon after at a hospital.
Sunday, July 26
7:43 p.m. A man was shot at least twice in the chest while on the 5500 block of Rubin Avenue, in the Woodmere neighborhood. The man, whose name police have not yet released publicly, was taken to a hospital, where he died shortly afterward.
