Local alt-rock band Fatally Yours plays the Ottobar with The Last YearCyrenicMy Enemy Complete, and Raven Tree. North Carolina’s Papadosio and Baltimore’s ELMplay Rams Head Live. The 8x10 has Cara Kelly & The Tell Tale tonight, and then another show with the Charm City Funk Brigade starting around 3 a.m. The Cold Spring Jazz Quartet performs at The Cabaret at Germano’s. Texas straight-edge punk band Modern Pain plays the Charm City Art Space with HomewreckerSick Symptom, and Queensway. Frederick, Maryland cult heroes Clutch play the 9:30 Club in Washington with Torche. Don’t miss: Local punks Bobby E. Lee & The Sympathizers, who released a great album called "The New Testament" in 2014, play the Windup Space. 

THURSDAY: Washington, D.C. rap star Wale previews his forthcoming "The Album About Nothing" at the Fillmore in Silver Spring. 

FRIDAY: The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven’s Ninth at the Meyerhoff. Joe Biden—the band, not the guy—performs at Charm City Art Space with SharptoothTake Care, and more. Local indie folk singer-songwriter Letitia VanSant and the Bonafides play the Ottobar with Haint BlueLaney Jones, and Tiny TimbersSaddle Of Centaur, who delightfully describes its sound as “power slop,” plays the Sidebar with The DegenerettesBrad Gunson plays Joe Squared. Don’t miss: Baltimore hardcore band Angel Du$t headlines the Metro Gallery with Big MouthOld Lines, and WARXGAMES

SATURDAY: F.J.E. Entertainment’s “Metal Madness” showcase at the Ottobar features In Dying ArmsArtifactsVermordSilent On Fifth StreetPainGI9, and Enemy Within. Upstairs at the Ottobar, That Guy Zeb DJs music videos for the monthly Vide0drome party. The Thunder Grunt Podcast Network holds live podcast tapings at the Windup Space, with a performance from Tunnelbike. The Sidebar throws a “Defend PopPunk!” party. Led Zeppelin’s songs remain the same when played by tribute band Get The Led Out at Rams Head Live. Pianist Robert Hitz leads an improvisation workshop at An die Musik Live. Johnny Balls plays ukulele, banjo, guitar, or whatever he feels like at Joe Squared. SUNDAY: Spallden Nterprize presents the Rap Royalty Awards, an all-female hip-hop award show, at St. Mary’s Restaurant & Bar. Local punk bands Birth Defects and The Emmies play the Windup Space with Austin, Texas’ Glue and Washington, D.C.’s Pure Disgust. Virginia pop/rock bandThe Ruin City plays Baltimore Soundstage with Mae. New Jersey ambient instrumental band A Film In Color plays the Charm City Art Space with Your Persona and Body Thief. Don’t miss: Local experimental math-rock band Monsters Of The Antipodes plays the Ottobar with Time ColumnsHotel Neon, and A Worthless Homestead
