Dance to house, hip-hop, and funk music at Red Maple for Nature of the Beats (21+; no cover). Pardon My Freedom, an indie dance party, kicks off upstairs at the Ottobar at 9 p.m. (21+; $4.50 for flavored vodka drinks, $5 Boh/shot combo, and free pool). Chocolate Puma brings its hard-hitting house music to U Street Music Hall with local help from Seba Yuri and Brad Piff at 10 p.m. (18+; $10).

FRIDAY 20

Dance party 4 Hours of Funk returns this month to the Windup Space with resident DJs Fleg and Graham and special guest Life on Planets starting at 10 p.m. (18+; free before 10:30 p.m., $5 after). Work it out at James Nasty's Physical Education party at the Ottobar starting at 9 p.m. ($5 cover for 18+, 21+ get in free; $2 PBR tall boys 9-11 p.m.). Harry Hotter spins all your favorite songs at The Get Down starting at 10 p.m. (21+; half-price drinks until 10:30 p.m.). Treasure Fingers plays feel-good disco music with Martin Roth and Ozker at U Street Music Hall at 10:30 p.m. (18+; $10; free before 11 p.m. for 21+).

SATURDAY 21

DJ Lemz spins all kinds of disco variations for brunch at Rocket To Venus at 1 p.m. (all ages). Kowli presents Kevin Yost, Safarii, and Novac at Red Maple starting at 9 p.m. (21+). DJ Impulse gets behind the decks at The Get Down for a night of dance music from all genres at 10 p.m. (21+; half-price drinks until 10:30 p.m.). Check out Ehse On Ice, a dance party at Mount Pleasant Ice Arena, featuring Ro, Sunatirene, and DJ Benny B at 10:30 p.m. ($5). Alvin Risk spins dance music at U Street Music Hall with Brian Billion, Buster, and The Lothario vs. Jackson Kachor at 10 p.m. (18+; $10 for early bird; $15 at the door). San Proper spins house, disco, and acid at Flash with Chris Nitti and Charles Martin starting at 8 p.m. (21+; $8).
