At Red Maple, DJ JFell's global dance groove party Sutra begins at 9:30 p.m. (21+; no cover).

It’s hip-hop night at The Hippo with DJ Rosie starting at 10 p.m. ($6 before 11 p.m., $8 after). DJ Diamond Dustin spins punk and metal at The Ottobar at 9 p.m. (21+). Steez Promo brings Borgore, Ookay, Jauz, and DOTCOM to The 9:30 Club for a night of dubstep, trap, bass, and twerk music at 10:30 p.m. (All ages; $30).

Friday 30

Keep it cool downstairs at the Ottobar for FREEze, a winter dance party covering everything from hip-hop to moombahton to Baltimore club music with D.C.’s Mista Selecta and Mane Squeeze and Baltimore’s Glittoris and James Nasty; kicks off at 9 p.m. ($5 for 18+, free for 21+; $2 rail drinks). Genres don’t mean a thing when Mathias hops on the decks for Still ill at Rock & Roll Hotel starting at 9:30 p.m. (21+; no cover).

Saturday 31

KAHLON is back at The Crown with live rap & R&B performances from Abdu Ali, DonChristian, OCDJ, and Chae Buttah, along with club and electronic-music DJ sets from Rip Knoxx, DJ Isabejja, and Mental Jewelry; starts at 9 p.m. ($7). DJ Impulse will keep you dancing all night long at The Get Down starting at 10 p.m. (half-price drinks before 10:30 p.m.). Get lifted downstairs at The Ottobar for Space Dance, a night of celestial house, nu-disco, and pop with DJ Grimsby (18+, 9 p.m.). DJ Shawn Q celebrates his 'Hit That' single release on Dirtybird Records at Red Maple (21+). Indie dance tunes run the party when Gigamesh hits U Street Music Hall with support from Slaptop and Lightwaves at 10 p.m. ($10 for 18+; free for 21+ until 11 p.m.).

Sunday 1

Red Maple hosts its Professional Soul party featuring hip-hop and R&B all night (free before 9:30 p.m.).

Monday 2

It’s a special Folk Metal edition of Metal Monday at The Ottobar with live performances from Sekengard and Isenmore and DJs spinning thrash, black, doom, death, and folk metal; starts at 9 p.m. (21+; $10 all-you-can-drink rail drinks and beer 9-11 p.m.).

Tuesday 3

Two-for-Tuesday night at The Ottobar upstairs and downstairs (after the early show) starts at 9 p.m. (21+, two-for-one-drinks all night) and it's Salsa Night at Red Maple (no cover; global tapas 5-10 p.m.; salsa lessons at 9 p.m.).

Wednesday 4

Hometown hero, James Nasty, supports DJ Sliink and Enferno for an exploration of club music from Baltimore to Jersey at U Street Music Hall at 10 p.m. (18+, $10). At Flash, Nü Androids presents Lancelot all the way from Sydney with local support from Citizen Select and Retro Future for a night of house music starting at 9 p.m. (21+; $15). Hip-hop classics all night at The Point in Fells for Wu-Tang Wednesdays presented by Sounds of Baltimore DJs at 10 p.m. (21+; no cover; two-for-one rail drinks, bombs, fireball shots, and domestic beers).
