Best Park: Green Mount Cemetery

1501 Greenmount Ave., (410) 539-0641,

Lush foliage. Gorgeous views of the city. Rolling hills. Paved pathways. The vengeful spirit of Abraham Lincoln’s assassin. What more could you want out of an afternoon stroll? Baltimore’s most notorious burial ground is just as pleasant as your typical outdoor retreat, if not more so, with the added bonus of insane architecture and ornamentation, and the final resting places of John Wilkes Booth, Johns Hopkins, Enoch Pratt, the Walters family, Betsy Patterson Bonaparte, among other notable residents. The only downside: No dogs allowed.
