Tony Pence’s Celebrated Summer has long been a favorite record store in Baltimore. The store-—which began in a bathroom-sized room in the back of Legends, a comic book/role-playing game store in Towson, and moved into the back room Atomic Books in 2010 before moving next door—celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year. It did so with, among other things, a screening of “Rock N’ Roll High School,” a new zine release, and a Guitar Wolf show. While its focus on punk, metal, and hardcore is what got the spot its reputation, it has always had its ears open to many styles of music and in its current larger location, houses a nice collection of whatever you want, especially if you’re going there for a discovery.
