Not only does Tapas have amazing sangria, but it’s also the best spot in the city for people watching. We love to get a table outside, pick five or six tapas selections and a pitcher of red sangria, and sit back and eye up the commuting crowd leaving Penn Station from their jobs in D.C. At just the right time, the late afternoon light reflects off the large windows and back on the faces of exhausted train riders. Sit there long enough, chances are you’ll see someone you know and invite them to have a seat and join you in watching the parade of humanity pass by. It’s a great way to pass the time until the dinner hour arrives.
