This gem on the top floor of the American Visionary Art Museum has always impressed us with their vegetable-focused menu and innovative cocktails, but it’s the happy hour that left us wondering just how it’s possible to serve such quality food and drink so cheap (their regular menu, though, errs on the expensive side). Think spicy fried Nashville cauliflower with vegan ranch and local pickles ($3), Thai curry mussels ($4), and crispy brussel sprouts with apple cider glaze ($3), to name a few. Then there’s the drinks: $3 Evolution drafts, a $4 red and white wine selection (not swill either), and a $5 cocktail that changes monthly. Grab a table at their outdoor patio overlooking the wind sculpture whirligigs and enjoy the specials 4-7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
