Savannah’s jerk chicken alone is enough to earn this Highlandtown spot this year’s Best Of shout-out: For $10 you get a sizeable chicken quarter, skin crispy and with a spice level that remains just this side of piquant, along with the expected rice, peas, and cabbage. This will remain the highlight of your week even after overstuffing yourself. But the entire menu has yet to disappoint—the curry goat is tender, the red snapper flaky and crispy. But the thing that keeps bringing customers back is the co-co bread, a slightly sweet carb dream.
