Best Wine Flights: 13.5% Wine Bar

1117 W. 36th St., (410) 889-1064,

What’s better than a glass of wine? Three. 13.5% Wine Bar’s flight trio Pink Pedal Pushers presents three large glasses holding chilled rosé-style wines including a Sangiovese from Washington, a Cinsault/Syrah from France, and a bubbly something-or-other from Spain on a red and black graphic paper runner/labeled road map—which come individualized with each flight. The Anti-Austerity flight features three Greek wines while the Go West, Young Man flight offers a taste of a California Pinot and a Washington Cab and a “Single Vineyard Red” from California; there’s also an all-bubbly flight and one called the Europass. Sure, a wine flight can feel decadent, but it’s really a chance to try three wines without going home drunk and broke. 13.5% knows this and has a little fun with it. If you do start to feel the earth move, try the well-curated 13.5% cheese cart.
