The two-man operation that took over Picadelli’s II (an establishment for whom pre-2013 City Paper employees and interns need no introduction) have transformed our idea of what tea can be in a single sip. Sure, they’ve got your oolongs, blacks, whites, herbals, and Moroccan mint. But Jimmie R. Wise, the tea czar here, concocts brews so powerfully flavorful that they could make us swear off alcohol—strawberry, apple-fig, lemon-gingersnap, and mango, to name a few. The one we crave from dawn to dusk is the coconut-pineapple tea. Go get it at the café. Go now.
