Best Salvadoran Cuisine: Mi Comalito

2101 N. Charles St., (410) 837-6033

Until this eatery opened in Station North two years ago, you would be hard-pressed to find any quality Latino food north and east of Broadway, where most of the city’s Latino community is based. Thankfully, the owners of Mi Comalito took a chance on opening a Salvadoran restaurant (which also serves Honduran and Mexican specialties) in a neighborhood dominated by Korean eateries. While we love our Nam Kang, it’s refreshing to get a plate of crunchy yucca fries or the stuffed, cheesy pupusas. Mi Comalito’s tacos de carnitas are a standout and the plato tipico Salvadoreno is a sampling of its amazing cuisine.
