Best Dining Trend: International Cuisine

The next time you’re having trouble figuring out where you want to eat, you might as well spin a globe, randomly drop your finger on it, and look at whatever country your finger has landed on—with the way that Baltimore’s culinary scene has been expanding lately, it seems like there’s a pretty good chance that there’s a restaurant in the city repping that country’s cuisine. Sure, there’s been your usual Indian, Chinese, and Korean staples in Baltimore for a while, but now there’s Basque food at La Cuchara, Venezuelan food at Alma Cocina Latina, and Afghan options beyond the Helmand with Maiwand Kabob and Maiwand Grill (as well as the lunch space The Helmand is planning on opening soon), not to mention the multiple Peruvian chicken places that have popped up, or the multiple Japanese noodle joints that opened once the ramen craze finally hit Baltimore. Yup, figuring out where to get dinner just got way more complicated, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
