Best Controversy-Causing Corporate Chain: CVS

No aspect of the Baltimore Uprising seemed to capture the attention and concern of the right-wing media or its audience more than that damn CVS someone burned down outside the Penn North Metro station. Guess what? It was an ugly building. Who cares? Why is everyone so emotionally invested in CVS? Just when we thought we had heard the last of those three letters, it was announced that storied gay bar/disco Club Hippo was closing to make way for yet another branch of the pharmacy. Now everyone but the right-wing is upset. If CVS keeps causing Baltimore this much stress, we might need to track down that “one-year” supply of prescription drugs Anthony Batts claimed was looted, because all this pharmacy drama is making us want to take a Percocet.
