This mix of meats and cheeses was a hit when Liam’s added a modest seasonal menu about two years back, and it’s become one of the many reasons to frequent this truly proper pub. Pick three of the following: smoked fish, meat (we favor whatever the smoked fish option is and the chorizo sausage), a cheese (we typically ask for whatever is currently the stinkiest or sharpest), or seasonal fruits or vegetables; order a draught, and wait for your order to arrive on a slab accompanied by bread or crackers, a coarsely rich mustard or curry mayo, a piquant chutney, and pickles. It’s finger food that complements a pint, is as substantial as a meal, and is pure joy for the taste buds.
