Though known around town as the place to swill Grand Marnier, One-Eyed Mike’s is also known for its service, and what better testament to that is there than having created a dish especially for a loyal patron? As the story goes, an OEM regular consistently sidled up to the bar for its crab cakes but eventually developed a shellfish allergy. Creatively, the kitchen came up with what is now an off-the-menu option—its chicken cake. A blend of chunked and pulled chicken combined with its typical crab cake spices and ingredients not only mimics the flavor, but also replicates the texture of a traditional Maryland crab cake.
