Best Sidewalk Drinking

The Laughing Pint, the East Baltimore oasis at the corner of Gough and Conkling streets, might be the perfect outdoor drinking venue. There’s not so much automotive traffic that every drink tastes like it came with a car exhaust chaser, and just enough foot traffic to keep it entertaining. Four iron tables with umbrellas line the building’s east side, sheltering patrons from the brutal afternoon sun. And in the evening the entire scene is illuminated by lanterns and candles. When the door opens, music from the jukebox spills out, and bartender Sharon Edler asks if you want another round, and you say yes.
