Best Bar

Sure, the Ottobar is one of the best rock clubs in the city, and thanks to James Nasty’s Friday night Physical Education and a few genre-themed DJ shows throughout the week, it’s a nice place to get down that isn’t one of the city’s douchebag dance clubs you don’t wanna go near (and a nice counter to the awesomely but sometimes annoyingly hip party-hosting spots like The Crown), but it is also, plain and simple, the best bar. You know what to expect when you go to the Ottobar, especially if you’re upstairs where there’s a pool table, booths, loud but not shitty music, and cool-as-hell bartenders. Also: The space is cramped in a good, get-to-know-your-neighbors way (and when it gets too cramped, if there isn’t a show going on, you can head downstairs). Also, also: Their Two-for-Tuesday is the best night in Baltimore if you’re trying to seriously, affordably get fucked up. Also, also, also: They do not serve food, but they are totally not dicks if you order a pizza and have it delivered there. How great is that?
