Best Election Year Radio Show

(410) 481-1010,

When it’s time to vote for a new mayor in Baltimore, we keep finding ourselves tuning in to 1010-AM in the morning. Larry Young (yes, the one who was suspended from the Maryland State Senate in 1998) and co-host “Coach” have a loose and lively rapport, and their unvarnished take on local politics is a breath of fresh air, especially if you dial straight over from public radio. Young knows everybody, and during election season, he always seems to have just been at a fundraiser or some other boldface-name event where he’s still getting the inside scoop. It’s not straight news, but the way Larry Young and Coach read between the lines, you’ll enjoy the news more when you go back to it.
