When the words “game store” come to mind, most people probably think of dingy rooms in decaying strip malls, filled with stacks of dusty D&D books, boxes upon boxes of Magic: the Gathering cards and piles of Warhammer figurines dating back from time immemorial. In contrast, Canton Games is bright, cheerful, and well-organized, with a vast selection of the more thoughtful European-style board games (think Settlers of Catan) as well as the more traditional games, comics, miniatures, and, yes, Magic cards. However, the friendly and knowledgeable staff is the real draw, especially the owner, Dan, who will even sit down and teach you how to play a game or two.
