No one ever said Holy Frijoles was going to change the culinary landscape of Baltimore, but this Hampden Mexican alco-altar prayed at by many a ’70s-band-record-cover-looking drinker kicks out jamming $1 tacos Tuesday and Wednesdays from 9-11 p.m. Choose ground beef for a taste like your momma made if she was a boxed-wine-and-7UP-drinking bottle-blond housewife from Long Beach, or beans with a choice of refried or black. Add $10 buckets of cinco Sol, the Boh of Mexico, and the simple tacos topped with shredded orange cheese and flavorless iceberg crunch with a side of pico make two days of the week when the cucumber margarita isn’t the best thing on the HF menu.
