We don’t want to get into an argument as to whether food at Cazbar is technically Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, or just Turkish. What we want to argue about is whether the manti (beef dumplings topped with yogurt and garlic butter) or the adana iskender (a kebap covered in yogurt and tomato sauce) is the best thing we’ve eaten in a long time. The lahmacun is the best pizza you’ve never had and Cazbar’s dips are unlike anything else in Baltimore. If you’re there on a Friday or a Saturday you can catch a belly-dance performance as well. Try the raki, an anise-flavored liquor similar to absinthe, but be careful, because it can knock you on your ass.
