The summer starts with strawberries, sugar snap peas, and a shit-ton of greens, by August alien-ship patty pan squash, licorice-y fennel, and roma tomatoes dominate while fall brings hard squashes in all shapes and colors and more of those perennial onions . . . community-supported agriculture offers fruits and veggies as they ripen in local soil weekly direct from the farm. Yeah, we loves it, but the Food Alliance Certified One Straw Farms is kicking ass because the full share ($650)—from the second week of June through mid-November—can be picked up at sweet spots like Milk & Honey, Woodberry Kitchen, and Zeke’s Coffee.
